How to Play
A simple guide to your first steps in Touchline to Fortune.
1. Start your first game
Click Play beta to open the game. Choose New Game to start a new life simulation. Open the Career section and enter your first managerial contract, including your club, country and salary. The game is a separate companion to Football Manager, so you enter your career details manually.
2. Explore your life
Use the game menu to explore your career, family, properties, vehicles, activities and investments. Buy or rent a home, build relationships and manage your money. Remember that many purchases also have ongoing expenses.
3. Advance time
Progress week by week or use Simulate to Date to advance several months or years. Income, expenses and events develop as time passes. Update your career contract whenever you change jobs or your salary changes, especially before simulating a long period.
4. Save your progress
Your game progress is stored locally in your browser. Use the game's Save / Load options and regularly export your save as a JSON file to keep a backup on your computer. To restore it, use the import option and select your saved JSON file. Browser data can be lost when cleared, so keep a separate backup.
5. Report a problem
Touchline to Fortune is in public beta. If something does not work as expected, use Report a Bug inside the game and describe what happened.
Quick tips
Start with your current managerial contract, keep it updated, watch your cash balance and export backups regularly. There is no single correct way to play — build your own story.
